Which is the day appointed by the last act of the last parliament held at Edinburgh, beginning 3 November 1646 and ending 27 March 1647, to be the day of the meeting of the estates of parliament in this second triennial parliament.
On the first day of parliament
The fourth parliament of the most excellent prince Charles, by the grace of God, king of Scotland, England, France and Ireland and defender of the faith, held at Edinburgh by the estates of this kingdom, namely: the noblemen, the commissioners for the barons and the commissioners for the burghs, this day convened in parliament by virtue of the last act of his majesty's second parliament held by his highness and the three estates in 1641 and by virtue of the aforesaid last act of the last parliament of 27 March 1647.
