Procedure: recommendation in favour of Colonel Robert Montgomery
Recommendation Colonel Robert Montgomery

The estates of parliament, having heard and considered the petition of Colonel Robert Montgomery requiring that his regiment may be in equal competition with regiments of the army of the same standing as has been granted to other colonels, his regiment being behind a half month's means which other regiments received in England, which the supplicant desires may be now ordered to him, as the petition purports; they do hereby seriously recommend the petitioner, with his supplication and desire thereof above-written, to the committee with the army at Newcastle, that his regiment may be in equal competition with other regiments of the army of the same standing, and that if the petitioner's regiment be behind of half a month's means which other regiments of the same standing have received in England, the committee would appoint that the same be now ordered to him.
