The estates of parliament, having heard the verbal relation of Mr Robert Douglas, in name of the commission of the kirk, showing that James Bell and Colin Campbell had supplicated them and acknowledged their fault for which they were incarcerated in the tolbooth of Edinburgh by warrant of the parliament, and that therefore he was desired from the commission of the kirk to intercede with the estates of parliament for their liberation; the said estates grant the desire aforesaid of the commission for the kirk and do hereby give warrant to the magistrates of Edinburgh and keeper of their tolbooth to put the said James Bell and Colin Campbell to liberty thereof notwithstanding of the former warrant for their incarceration.
