The estates of parliament, upon the desire of the supplication of the sheriff principal of Perth, do hereby dispense with the sitting of the sheriff of Perth and his deputes for administration of justice in all actions criminal and civil and in all brieves to be served and other affairs belonging to the sheriff court of Perth, notwithstanding of the sitting of this present session of parliament. And in respect that the town of Perth, which is the head burgh of the shire, is visited for the present with the plague of pestilence, the estates ordain Abernethy to be the place where the sheriff of Perth and his deputes shall sit and hold their courts during the visitation of the burgh of Perth with the aforesaid plague, and ordain public intimation to be made hereof at the market cross of Perth that the lieges be not disappointed nor prejudiced.
