The which day the Lord Lieutenant General William Baillie, having earnestly desired the honourable estates to examine his former carriage in the late trust laid upon him and thereafter to be pleased to liberate him and to employ some other in that charge, find that he deserves thanks and approval for his carriage and again renew the late act made at Stirling to that effect and do also liberate him from that charge and accept his demission, but in the meantime desire him to continue in the service as of before until 8 September next.
