Order of parliament to the committee for borrowing of money

The which day the estates of parliament having read and considered this query represented to them from the committee for borrowing of money, namely: whether or not the noblemen and gentlemen being in town and having their ordinary residence north of the River Tay shall be summoned to lend money before the committee in the north or presently before this committee at Edinburgh in regard of the present necessity of monies, the estates find that those that dwell north of the River Tay may be convened before the committee for borrowing of money at Edinburgh whensoever they can be discovered within this town, seeing the committee granted particularly from persons dwelling north of the River Tay is not solely nor exclusive of the committee at Edinburgh when the said persons are in this town.
