The estates allow [Charles Seton], earl of Dunfermline to send a messenger to Colonel Clavering with a warrant to Captain Lyle to put him to liberty, taking his word of honour to appear forthwith before the convention or their committee.

The estates ordain the half of the number of horse and foot formerly laid on the sheriffdom of Roxburgh in the last expedition to be put out by them in this expedition, and that out of the whole lands whereof they put out men formerly by warrant from the estates.
