The estates taking into their consideration the valorous carriage of Sir Frederick Hamilton against the rebels in Ireland these two years bygone, with the loss he has sustained and extremities he has been put to through his constant and religious opposing of the said rebels, and finding this condition to deserve special consideration, do therefore recommend to the committee of estates to take such course herein as his deservings and conditions does require.
