Letter: to the king
To his majesty anent [Randall MacDonnell], earl of Antrim

Most sacred sovereign,

As the estates by their letter of 29 June did acquaint your majesty with the apprehending of the earl of Antrim and with the depositions made by him and his servants, so having now received from the houses of parliament a letter concerning the said earl, with some other desires of theirs, they have resolved according to their duty to acquaint your majesty forthwith and with their answer made thereupon, as will fully appear to your majesty by the enclosed copy of the particulars, which, by their warrant, I do humbly offer to your majesty. And in every thing which may witness my affection to your majesty's service, my special care shall be to prove myself etc.
