To his sacred majesty and honourable house of parliament, the humble petition of Ludovic [Lindsay], earl of Crawford. Whereas your humble petitioner has these days before been imprisoned and now has declared the full truth of that which he conceived to be the occasion of his imprisonment, and, therefore, humbly entreats the king's majesty and house of parliament that now I may be liberated and I shall appear before the king's majesty and parliament whensoever I shall be called by the king and parliament. And your majesty's and lords' answer humbly entreats.
