[Supplication of the Earl of Crawford seeking to be heard in parliament]

Petition by [Ludovic Lindsay], earl of Crawford

To his sacred majesty,

The humble petition of Ludovic, earl of Crawford, humbly shows that where he has been detained in close prison contrary to his majesty's command, neither does he know the cause wherefore, therefore he humbly desires he may have a hearing this day, or otherwise if the time be not convenient, that he may be liberated upon surety of one or two noblemen to appear when he shall be demanded. This humbly desires your majesty and the honourable house of parliament to grant.

Your majesty's obedient and humble subject, Crawford
