The king's majesty desired the parliament to take to their consideration the condition of [Charles Louis], Prince Palatine his business and what course is fitting to be taken for testifying their respect and affection to the said prince. And the parliament thinks fit to appoint a committee to consider thereupon, and for that effect nominates [Alexander Leslie, earl of Leven], lord general, [Alexander Montgomery], earl of Eglinton, [William Kerr], earl of Lothian, [James Livingstone], lord Almond for the nobility. The barons and burghs promised to give in the names of their number to the clerk.

Appoints [David Carnegie], earl of Southesk and [Alexander Elphinstone], lord Elphinstone for the nobility; [Sir William Forbes], laird of Craigievar and [Sir Robert Graham of] Morphie for the barons; [David Anderson], the commissioner of Cupar and [Master Alexander Douglas of Downies, commissioner for] Banff for the burghs to peruse all the ratifications produced to parliament, that a catalogue may be made thereof to be read and passed publicly in parliament.

Appoints a committee to consider the catalogue of all acts exhibited and what of them are expedient to be passed in parliament, and for that effect nominates [John Campbell, lord Loudoun], lord chancellor, [Archibald Campbell], earl of Argyll, [John Kennedy, earl of] Cassilis, [William Cunningham, earl of] Glencairn, [John Maitland, earl of] Lauderdale and [John Lindsay], lord Lindsay† for the nobility. The barons and burghs promised to condescend upon their number to the clerk.

Supplication by [Colonel Alexander Hamilton], general of the artillery, craving to be secured of his pension both for bygones and in time coming, read in audience of his majesty and parliament, who remit and refer the supplication as well regarding the ordering and directing of the artillery pertaining to the public as regarding the said pensions, bygone arrears and allowance in time coming to the committee nominated for the burdens of the country, and give them warrant to proceed and determine therein as a matter reasonable and expedient for the good of the public. And earnestly recommend to the king's majesty what may concern his majesty's part regarding the office of general of the artillery and yearly wages thereof.

Supplication by [James Home], earl of Home and [Mary Sutton], countess of Home, craving satisfaction for the house and plenishing of Dunglass, read in audience of his majesty and estates of parliament, who refer the same to the committee for the burdens of the kingdom.
