[Instructions to the general for the disbanding of the army approved and ordered to be delivered]

The instructions to [Alexander Leslie of Balgonie], general, regarding the payment of the army etc. agreed upon and subscribed by [John Elphinstone, lord Balmerino], president, in face of parliament, which appoints the same with a letter from the president in their name to the general to be delivered to [James Home], earl of Home, that he may carry the same with diligence; which he undertook, and to be here again at the parliament within 12 hours after the army removes from the sheriffdom of Berwick.
