Regarding the patent to [Archibald Campbell], earl of Argyll to be marquis

The which day the king's majesty, after voicing and concluding of the foresaid last act regarding the appointing of the time of the meeting of the next parliament, did exhibit a patent granted by his majesty to Archibald, earl of Argyll for creation of him as marquis of Argyll, earl of Kintyre and lord Lorne, which patent was publicly read in audience of his majesty and whole estates. And thereafter his majesty delivered the same patent, having his highness's great seal thereto appended, to the said Marquis of Argyll, who received the same in all humility from his majesty.
