Protestation of [James Hamilton], marquis of Hamilton against the town of Glasgow's ratification

In presence of the king's majesty and estates of parliament James, marquis of Hamilton etc., being personally present, protested that the ratification granted in this present parliament in favour of the provost, bailies, council and community of the burgh of Glasgow should be always without prejudice to him, his heirs and successors regarding any rights, infeftments, privileges and liberties granted to him, his authors and predecessors; and thereupon asked instruments.
