Procedure: order regarding the army
Order regarding the disbanding of the army

The which day the instructions to the general regarding the disbanding and payment of the army being publicly read in audience of the king and parliament, and thereafter subscribed by [John Elphinstone, lord Balmerino], president of parliament, in face of parliament at their command, the king's majesty and estates of parliament appoint the same instructions with a letter from the president in their name to the general to be delivered to [James Home], earl of Home that he may carry the same with diligence, which he undertook, and to be here again at the parliament within 12 hours after the army removes from the sheriffdom of Berwick.

Warrant for incarceration of Thomas MacKie

The which day [Alexander Stewart], earl of Galloway being asked by [John Elphinstone, lord Balmerino], president of the parliament, if he had apprehended Thomas MacKie, according to his commission from parliament, the earl declared that he had Thomas MacKie in readiness. Whereupon the estates of parliament command the said Thomas MacKie to be imprisoned within the tolbooth of Edinburgh.
