Ordinance in favour of John MacCulloch of Merton

The which day the supplication given in to the parliament by John MacCulloch of Merton, desiring that [Patrick Hannay], commissioner of Wigtown may be discharged to proceed in any action against him during the sitting of the parliament in respect he is a commissioner thereto, being read in audience of the parliament and the desire thereof considered by the estates of parliament, they find the desire thereof reasonable and therefore discharge the said commissioner of all proceeding in any process against the supplicant during the sitting of the parliament, and in case anything be done since the meeting of the parliament the estates declare the same to be null in the self.
