The which day the supplication given in by [Gilbert Hay], earl of Erroll, craving warrant to the provost and bailies of Edinburgh to exhibit Master Thomas Lamb before him or his deputes to be judged in his courts as constable for the slaughter contained in the supplication, together also with the remonstrance exhibited by him for that effect, being read in audience of the estates of parliament, the said estates ordain the provost and bailies of Edinburgh to exhibit the said Master Thomas Lamb, delinquent, before the constable or his deputes, one or more, to the effect contained in the said supplication, without prejudice always to the Earl of Erroll or town of Edinburgh their rights or privileges as by law, and ordain the clerk to deliver to either party the duplicate of the foresaid supplication, with the deliverance thereof foresaid, together with the duplicate of the remonstrance therewith exhibited by the Earl of Erroll and subscribed by the clerk.
