Ordinance of parliament in favour of [Anna Wemyss], my lady Stormont

The which day the supplication given in by my Lady Stormont to the parliament, desiring liberty to the lords of exchequer to pass the signature of her conjunct fee lands, being read in audience of parliament, the estates of parliament grant the desire above-written of the said supplication, with provision the same be not prejudicial to any who has been employed in the army or public affairs.

Ordinance of parliament in favour of the Laird of Orrock

The which day the estates of parliament, having read and considered the supplication given in to them by the Laird of Orrock, desiring that a gift of his ward and marriage granted to Dame Marjorie Young in his prejudice may not pass in exchequer for the reasons contained in his supplication, the said estates of parliament discharge the lords of exchequer to pass the foresaid gift until the party be heard before the parliament and called thereto.

Ordinance of parliament in favour of [John Blair], laird of Blair, [the Laird of] Caldwell and [Sir William Cunningham of] Cunninghamhead

The which day the three supplications given in to the parliament by the Laird of Blair, the Laird of Caldwell and the Laird of Cunninghamhead, craving that the gifts of their wards and marriages may be passed freely in favour of the supplicants, in respect their fathers and others respectively contained in their supplications by whose decease their wards and marriages fall, died or contracted their ailment, whereof they died in the public service of the country and good cause, being read in audience of the parliament, the estates of parliament find the desires thereof reasonable, and out of certain knowledge that the supplicants' fathers died or contracted ailment whereof they died in the public service of the country and good cause, the said estates appoint [Sir James Carmichael], treasurer depute, and lords of exchequer to pass the said three gifts of the said supplicants, their wards and marriages respectively and that freely without any composition.
