It being represented by the three assizers adjoined to the justice for Master John Stewart's process that [Alexander Stewart], lord Elphinstone was the fourth assizer nominated by the parliament and is unwilling and refuses to join with them in respect foresaid, the estates of parliament command the said Lord Elphinstone to accept the said office and to proceed in doing his duty therein to the end of the process.

Regarding the supplication presented by Angus Ferguson craving a process pursued against him before [John Murray], earl of Atholl and his bailies to be advocated to [Sir William Elphinstone], justice general, the estates of parliament ordain the Earl of Atholl to be warned by a macer to hear the desire of the supplication granted and in the meantime discharge the said Earl of Atholl and his deputes.
