Commission to [James Graham], earl of Montrose for the salmon fishing upon the water of Southesk and Northesk according to the act of parliament.

Commission to [George Gordon], marquis of Huntly for the River Lochy.

Regarding the mutual acts presented by the merchants and crafts, there was produced by the crafts the seal of cause for the shoemakers and ratification thereof under the privy seal. Item, the seal of cause of the skinners ratified under the great seal. Item, the gift granted to the goldsmiths under the privy seal, with the ratification thereof in parliament and the copy of his majesty's letter and supplication to the council. Item, the hammermen's seal of cause, with a decreet of secret council. Item, a decreet before the provost and bailies in favour of the skinners against Andrew Kerr, and declared they had no more to produce at this time. James Cochrane, dean of guild, for the merchants, desired to see the said writs until tomorrow and Richard Maxwell answered that no delay should be granted upon that sight because the whole seals of causes are registered in their books whereof they are masters, and have advised already with the same these many days bygone. The articles appoint the merchants to see the said writs until tomorrow and accordingly the said writs were given to John Smith [of Grotehill].
