Regarding the supplication presented by [James Crichton], laird of Frendraught against [George Gordon], marquis of Huntly, the lord marquis was content that the part of the supplication regarding the delivery of some money to him by the mediation of a friend etc. should be proven by Sir Robert Gordon in respect of his quality, whom Frendraught agreed was the friend mentioned in that part of the supplication, whereupon Sir Robert was examined.
