Act uniting certain lands to the kirks of Corstorphine and Hailes

Our sovereign lord and estates of parliament not only ratifies and approves the act of union made by the lords commissioners for the surrenders and teinds, according to the power and warrant given to them by their commission, whereby the said lords have dismembered the lands of Saughton, Craiglockhart and Ravelston from the parish of St Cuthberts in respect of their far distance from the said parish, and have united, annexed and adjoined the said lands of Saughton and Ravelston to the parish of Corstorphine, and the said lands of Craiglockhart to the parish of Hailes, in respect of the nearness of the foresaid lands to the said parishes respectively, in manner mentioned in the foresaid act, which is of the date 17 February 1630, in all points according to the tenor of the said act. But likewise his majesty and estates foresaid of this present parliament, in consideration of the reason above-written mentioned in the said act, of new dismembers the forenamed lands of Saughton, Craiglockhart and Ravelston from the said parish of St Cuthberts in respect of their far distance therefrom, and unites, annexes and adjoins the said lands of Saughton and Ravelston to the said parish of Corstorphine, and the said lands of Craiglockhart to the said parish of Hailes, in respect of the nearness of the said lands to the foresaid kirks respectively, and ordains the heritor and tenants of the said lands of Saughton and Ravelston to repair to the said kirk of Corstorphine and the heritor and tenants of the said lands of Craiglockhart to repair and resort to the said kirk of Hailes as to their ordinary parish kirks at all times requisite and necessary, and to be served thereat as their own parish kirks in all time coming, without prejudice always to [John Bothwell], lord Holyroodhouse of his parsonage teinds and to the minister of St Cuthbert's kirk of his vicarage teinds of the foresaid lands during the said minister's lifetime only; which vicarage teinds shall thereafter fall to the ministers of the kirks whereto they are annexed, according to the foresaid act of the commissioners above-written.
