In the parliament held at Edinburgh, 28 June 1633, compeared personally James Stevenson, commissioner for the burgh of Pittenweem, and there protested that the ratification granted by our sovereign lord and estates of this present parliament of the mill called the Mylnetown, Mill of Pittenweem, mill lands and multures thereof pertaining to Sir William Anstruther of that Ilk, knight, should in no way be prejudicial to the said burgh of Pittenweem nor inhabitants thereof; the which protestation our said sovereign lord and estates foresaid have admitted and by these words admit. Whereupon the said James Stevenson, commissioner foresaid, asked and took instruments.
