The estats of parlement etc., having takin to thair consideratioun the supplicatioun of Johnne Forbes of Leslie, Alexander Jaffray, baillie of Aberdene, Mr Andro Cant, minister of God's word at Aberdene, and Thomas Jaffray there, craving ane act of approbatioun to be past and graunted in favors of the master of Forbes, Lord Fraser, the lairds of Skeene, Monymusk, Echt, Leslie, younger, and others, their friends and followers, off the fyring and burning the hous of Pitcaple and of any blood shed in raising the siedge about the said hous or any act of hostility done theranent as done for the publict service and good of the countrey and releiff of the supplicants; and that the saids noblemen, gentlemen and others, their friends and followers, be fred in all tyme comeing of all persute for the causes aforsaid or any act of hostilitie done theranent, whether civill or criminall, as the samen supplicatioun in the selff at mair length bears. Quhilk, with the trueth and veritie of the said supplicatioun (the case of the same notour not onlie to some of this present parlement, bot also to many others in this kingdome) being takin in consideratioun be the saids estats of parlement, the saids estats of parlement doe approve of and allow the said master of Forbes, Lord Fraser, the lairds of Skeene, Monymusk, Echt, Leslie, younger, and others, their friends and followers, their fyring and burning the house of Pitcaple and of any blood shed in raising the siedge about the said hous or any act of hostility done theranent as done for the publict service and good of the countrey and releiff of the saids supplicants, and declaires the saids supplicants and the saids noblemen, gentlemen and others, thair friends and followers, frie in all tymecomeing of all persute intended or to be intended aganst thame for the caus aforsaid or any act of hostilitie done theranent, whither civill or criminall.
