Act in favours of the marques of Argile anent the rents of Mugdok

The estats of parlement etc., taking to thair consideratioun the report of the committee of accompts and commoun burthens anent the duties of the lands and baronies of Mugdok, Dundaff, Auchinhowie and Auchincloich and haill soumes of mony received concerning the saids lands uplifted be James Stirling, chalmerlane, and having commission from the lord marquis of Argile to receive the same at Witsonday and Mertimes 1645 and Witsonday and Mertimes 1646, and bearing that the said lord marques hes onlie received of the duties and monyes payable at Witsonday and Mertimes 1645 the soume of tuo thousand, seven hundreth fourscore fyftene pounds, six shillings, eight pennies, and that the said lord marquis hes onlie received of the said duties and monyes payable out of the saids lands at Witsonday and Mertimes 1646 from the said James Stirling the soume of three thousand, three hundreth tuentie six pounds, threttene shillings, quhilk tuo soumes extends in haill to six thousand, ane hundreth tuentie ane pounds, nyntene shillings, eight pennies, and bearing the remanent soumes quhilks were payable at Witsonday and Mertimes 1646 for the duties of monyes received concerning the saids lands to be given out according to the severall articles of the discharge mentioned in the compt made be the said James Stirling; the saids estats of parliament ratifies and approves the forsaid report and finds the said lord marquis to have onlie intrometted with the foirsaid soume of six thousand, ane hundreth tuentie one pounds, nyntene shillings, eight pennies, for which his lordship is to be comptable to the publict.
