Act against these who were upon the unlawfull Engadgement and had used insolencies

The estats of parlement understanding that thair be sundrie who were upon the late unlaufull Engadgement who used severall insolencies and outrages, against whom thair are diverse complaints at the instance of these who wer wronged be them, and considering that the saids persons for fear of punishment may escape, whereby the supplicants will be altogether frustrat, thairfor the saids estats graunts warrand and power to the earle of Lowdoun, high chancellor, the earle of Levin, lord generall, and Sir James Stuart, provest of Edinburgh (or any tuo of them, the lord chancellor being one) upon complaint to be given in be any party against the saids persons who having bene in the Engadgement forsaid and hes used insolencies and outrages as said is, to give warrant for secureing of their persons untill thay find cautioun for the peace of the kingdome and answer to the saids complaints.
