Morning in the Lai[gh] To[l]bo[th], March the 28, att the committy of 24

The parliament's ansuer to the desyres of the commissioners of the kirk sent by the earll of Crauford, Humby and Arsbald Sedserf to them, who returned and tould he had delivered the paper to the commission of the kirk who could returne no ansuer till they had red the paper which was long before the dounesitting of the parliament. Mester David Dicke came to the Laight Toubooth and sueir that commissioners of the generall assembly had sent to lett the committy of 24 knoe that they wer thinking whatt ansuer to give to that paper which was sent them from the parliament bot could not pick upon the tyme when it wold be redy.

In parliament, March 28, post mer[idium]

The pettitioners anent the erection called. The bill red. Therefter a dilator proponed by Roxburgh and Laderdall and they remouved. Itt was resolved that they should give in ther ansuers in wryt, which they did. As lykwys the earll of Abercorne gaive in his by his agent. Dumferling promised to give in his the morrou, all which papers Sir Johne Scott did take upe to sea till the morrou.

A report by the e[arle] of Suetaske anent the continuation of the excise remitted to the severall bodyes, as lykwys that of the mentinence.

A bill presented by the chansler in the behalf of Laurers reg[iment] and that they may be put upone equall fitting with the rest of the armie, which was remitted to the committy for quartering.

The chansler reported the commissioners of the kirk's ansuer, as is aboufe expressed.

The parliament to meitt at 10, the bodyes att 8 and the committys att 2 the morou in the efter noune.
