In plane parliament, the 25 March, morning

A bill frome the sheredom of Air and Baronthrew anent the quartering of 4 troupes of hors upone them. Ther was sume more then ordinarie heate about the debat, whidder the bill or the report should have the preeminence. Itt was att last ordered that the report should preseid which was given in by the chansler and tuys red. Sume debate upon itt, and interrupted by a message frome the kirk delivered by Mester Androw Cant and Mester James Nesmath anent the unlafulness of combates expressed in a petition which was remitted to the consideration of the committy for laues.

Then the busines of the report was againe resumed and efter debat itt was resolved that upone that day morning the commissioners of the kirk shall reseave the parliament's answer to ther paper, and to desyre the continuance of the conference, and that inlargment of pouer may be granted to debate upone the wholl mater, as lykwise for the stating of the question; and that thoes who are upone the conference may meitt upone Tyusday morning att 8 a clok. The earle of Craff[ord], Gartland and Ar[chibald] Sitts[erf] was sent with this message but returned no ansuer in regard of the pausity of the members that was att the meitting of the commissioners of the kirk.

The bill of Air and Baronthiou remitted to the former committy, who ar apoynted to meitt att 3 the efter none.

The bodyes upone Monday morning att 8 to consider the report of the comitty of 24. The parliament att 2 efternon.
