Commissioune for the brunt and waisted landis in the shirefdome of Aberdene

The estates of parliament, taking in to consideration that be ther act for the monethlie mantenance of the 9th of May instant they have suspendit to the shirefdome of Aberdene 1,333 lib. 6 [s.] 8 [d.] of the 6,543 lib. whilk is the haill monethlie mantenance payable be that schire, and that in relatioune to the brunt and waisted landis of the said shyre untill farder tryall be tane anent the samyne brunt and waisted lands, as the samyne act of mantenance mair fullie proportis, the saids estates of parliament, in respect therof and that commissiounes are ordained to be granted for trying what pairt and portiounes of the suspendit mantenance may be raised of these shires in whais favors the samyne is suspendit, and that tryell to be reported betuixt and the last day of August nixt, utherwayes the generall commissar efter that day to chairge for the haill mantenance, and the commissiones are ordained to be direct to such persones as the parliament or committee sall appoynt and as the samyne sall be callit for be these schyres and burghis in whais favors the samyne are granted, hes given and granted and doe heirby give and grant full power and commissioune to the laird of Birkinboig, elder, Alexander Urquhart of Dunlugus, George Gordoune of Auchintoule, Alexander Ogilvie of Knok, Robert Buchane of Portlethen, Doctor Alexander Douglas and Gilbert Mair, baillie of Banff, persones condiscendit upone be the commissioneris for the schyre of Aberdene (or any 4 of thame) to take ane exact and true tryell what landis of the shirefdome of Aberdene are so brunt and waisted that they pey no dewtie at all or what dewtie they reallie pey to the master and heretors therof, and accordinglie to considder and condiscend what pairt and portioune of the suspendit mantenance of that shire they be raised and peyed of these landis. With power to the saidis persones or quorum therof foirsaid to meet and conveene to the effect abonementionat at sick places, tymes and occasiounes as they sall think expedient, and that in ther first meeting to choyse ane of ther number to proceid with ane clerk and then all to give ther oathes of veritie de fideli administratione anent the trew and exact trying of the said brunt and waisted landis, present conditioune therof, and what dewtie is peyed for the samyne, and therefter to caus sett doune in writt under ther handis and subscriptiounes the true reporte and tryall tane be thame heiranent. And that the samyne may be reportit to the parliament or committee of estaites betuixt and the said last day of August, that accordinglie the foirsaid suspendit mantenance may be peyit or suspendit totallie or partiallie as efter consideratioune of the reporte sall be fund just. And the estaites declaires that nane of the commissioneris abonenamed wha hes interest in the foirsaid brunt and waisted lands heirby appoyntit to be cognoscit or tryed is admitted to have place or voyce in this commissioune.
