The estates of parliament hes nominat and appoynted the erles of Tullibardine, Perth, Southesk and Traquair for the noblemen, the lairdis of Innes, Clerkingtoune, Polmais and Almagill for the barronis, James Robertsone, Johne Forbes and Gilbert Mair for the burrowes, to be ane committie for billis and supplicatiounes to be presented to the parliament, to whome (or to the maist pairt therof as the quorum, thair being ane ther of everie estate) the estates of parliament gives power and warrand to receave, read and considder all billis and supplicatiounes to be given in and presented to the parliament, and to remitt sick therof as are proper to any uther judicatorie to these judicatories to whome the samyne properlie belongis, and to take the rest to ther consideratioune and accordinglie to represent the samyne, with the desyre therof and ther opinion and judgment theranent, to the parliament, that accordinglie the parliament may determine theranent as they shall think fitt. With power also to the said committee or quorum therof foirsaid (thair being ane of everie estate in the said quorum) to grant citatioune at the instance of the supplicantis against the perties complenit upone and witnesses if neid beis as the committee or quorum therof foirsaid sall think necessar, and that in sick billis and supplicatiounes as does not properlie belong to any uther judicatorie. And ordaines ane of everie estaite to be present in the foirsaid quorum, and declaires the lord chancellor to be supernumerarie in this and all uther committees of parliament.
