The estates of parliament, now conveened in this sext session of the first trienniall parliament, have ratifies and approven and be the tenor heirof ratifies and approves the chartar and infeftment made and granted be his majestie under his hienes great seall to Sir Michaell Balfoure of Denmylne, knyght, his airs male and assigneyis quhatsomevir heritablie of all and sundrie the landis, mylnes, mylnelandis, teindis and uthers therinmentioned, all therby uneit, erect and incorporat in ane haill and frie barronie called the barronie of Denmylne, to be haldin of our said soverane lord the kingis majestie and his hienes successors in fie heritage and frie barronie for evir, as the said chartar of the date at Edinburgh, the twentie fourt day of Julii the yeir of God jM vjC fourtie sex yeirs at mair lenth beirs, with the precept and instrument of saising following therupon, in all and sundrie headis, articles, clauses and circumstances therof quatsomevir. And the saids estates of parliament doe heirby ordane and declare that this present generall ratification is and salbe alse valeid, effectuall and sufficient to the said Sir Michaell Balfoure of Denmylne, knyght, his airs male and successors and assigneyis for ther heritable bruiking, joysing and possessing of the landis, mylnes, mylnelandis, multors, teinds and uthers specefeit in the said chartar and infeftment in all tymcomeing as if the said chartar, precept and instrument of saising following therupon wer at lenth word be word heirin insert and heirby ratified in speciall, quheranent, and with all uthers defectis and imperfections quhatsomevir quhilks may be objected aganis the validitie of the said chartar, precept and instrument of saising or this present generall ratification therof, the saids estates of parliament have dispensed and be thir presentis dispenses for now and evir.
