The estates of parliament, haveing takine to thair consideration the report of that committie appointed by them for reveising the billis and suplications presented to the parliament concerning the suplication of Johne, erle of Kinghorne, for himselfe and his tennentis, anent the reparatioune of ther loisses, extending to fourtie ane thousand, ane hundereth aucht punds 2 sh. 4 d. Scotis, and for ther present subsistence and in the meantyme exemption from publict dewis, as the report and suplication mair fullie beirs, the saidis estates of parliament modifies and allowis the sowme of sex thousand pundis Scotis to be given to the said erle of Kinghorne and his saidis tennentis for ther present subsistence and towardis the reparatioune of ther saids loisses, quhilk sowme of sex thousand pundis Scotis the saidis estates ordanis to be given and payit to the said Johne, erle of Kinghorne, for himselfe and his saids tennentis, out of the remander of the brotherlie assistance dew and payable be the parliament and kingdome of England to this kingdome yit unpayit and not formarlie assigned, or to anie haveand the erle of Kinghorne, his power and warrand to ressave the foresaid sowme of sex thousand pundis Scotis. And for this effect the saids estates doe heirby grant richt and assignement for payment to the said erle of Kinghorne, for himselfe and his saids tennentis, or to anie haveand his power and warrand, of the foresaid sowme of sex thousand pundis Scotis to be payed out of the remander of the aforesaid brotherlie assistance yit unpayed and not formarlie assigned as said is. And, for the more readie payment of the said sowme of sex thousand pundis Scotis, the saids estates of parliament be thir presentis grantis precept and warrand for payment of that sowme to the erle of Kinghorne, or to anie haveand his power and warrand to ressave the same, out of the foresaid remander of the brotherlie assistance upon the said erle of Kinghorne, or anie haveand power and warrand from him, his or ther discharges to be granted upon the recept of the said sowme of sex thousand pundis Scotis, quhose discharge therof the saids estates heirby declares salbe ane sufficient warrand and exoneration to the payers therof and to all uthers interest or who may be concerned therintill.
