Act marques of Argyle

Forsamekle as the estates of parliament, taking to thair consideration the suplication of Archbald, marques of Argyle, schewing that the estates of parliament, be thair act of the date the [...] day of [...] 1644 yeirs and be ther uther act of the date the [...] day of March 1645 yeirs, upon consideration of the great sowmes of money than dew and adebted to him be the kingdome, did appoint some wayis for his payment and releife in maner mentioned in the saids actis, quherof he had not occasion as yit to ryipe the benefite therof; and thairfore desyring that the parliament wald declare the saids actis to stand and to be unprejudgit be anie actis granted in favors of anie persones since, and that the suplicant may enjoy what was allowed to him be the saids actis, conforme to the tenors therof, as the suplication beirs. The saidis estates of parliament findis the desire foresaid of the said suplication just and reasonable and grantis the samen, and therfore they ratifie and approve the foresaids tua actis abonementioned granted in favors of the suplicant of the dates abonewrittin in the whole headis, articles and clauses therof and conforme to the tenors of the samen in all pointis; and declares and ordanis the saids actis to stand in full force, strenth and effect, conforme to the tenors of the samen quhilks ar of the dates beforerehearsed, and to be unprejudged be anie act granted in favors of anie persone since, and that the suplicant may enjoy what was allowed to him be the saids actis, conforme to the tenors therof, but prejudice of prior assignementis before the dates of the tua actis abonewrittin heirby ratified.
