Protestatioune erle of Lanerick

Williame, erle of Lanerk, for himselfe and the remanent officers of estate who will adhere to him, protested that the act now made in favors of the marques of Argyle be without prejudice to him and to the uther officers of estate anent the preference in payment of pensions dew to him and them by richtis, actis of exchecker, custome or priviledge, and heirupon asked instruments.

Protestatioune duke of Hamiltoune

James, duke of Hammiltoune protested that the foresaid act made in favors of the marques of Argyle be without prejudice to him of the prioritie dew to him for payment of pensions or preceptis granted to him be his majestie, conforme to the warrand therof and his majesties pleasur therinexprest, and that he may be preferred in the first place, and heirupon asked instruments.

Protestatioune lord chancellor

Johne, erle of Lowdoun, high chancellor of Scotland, protested that the act now established in favors of the marques of Argyle upon most reasonable and weightie considerations of his singular condition be onlie propper to himselfe and nawayis ane leading or preparative to anie uther persone quhatsomevir to seik preference before the payment of the pension dew to him, bot that he may have the prioritie before all uthers inrespect of his right and his majesties warrand, and heirupon asked instruments.

Protestatioune erle of Dumfermling

Charles, erle of Dumfermling, in name of the marques of Argyle, protested against all the aforesaids protestatiounes made be the lord chancellor, the duke of Hammiltoune, the erle of Crawfuird Lindsey, thesaurer, and the erle of Lanerick in sa far as the samen protestatiounes are prejudiciall to the marques of Argyle and the act foresaid made in his favors for preference.
