To all generalls, governors of tounes and uthers officers and souldiors whatsomevir be sea or land, and to all judges, justices and magistrats whatsoevir and uthers his majesties subjectis whome these doe or may concerne.

Quheras Sir Alexander Hope, his majesties carver, is by warrand of the parliament of Scotland to attend on his particular service about his majesties persone, these ar therfore to desire yow and everie ane of yow to grant him frie pass to himselfe and his servandis through your boundis and grant to them your best aide and concurrence for the furtherance of ther journey and not to mak anie stopte or trouble to them in there way, comeing or goeing.
