The estates of parliament, taking to ther consideration the offer made be the laird of Bogie, generall commissar, to advaunce and pay to the armie the first monethis pay appointed to be payed at ther randevous upon the tent of this instant, therfore and for his releife and repayment of the saids sowmes and for his better helpe to ingather the mantenance heireftir towardis the tymeous payment of the armie, ordanis him to have ane trowpe consisting of thrie score fyiftene, to be made up of fyve troupers mounted and furnished, to be delyvered to him out of eache of the fyiften trowpis now keiped on foote; quheranent the estates ordanis the generall, lieutenant generall and generall major to give ordors to the several rutemasters to caus delyver to the said generall commissar or his lieutenant the saidis fyve troupers out of eache troupe at ther ensueing randevous upon the tent day of this instant, to the effect the same may be imployed for the ingathering of the mantenance from the deficientis and delayers of payment of ther pairt therof. Off the whiche troupe, the said generall commissar salbe rootmaster and sall appoint his lieutenant, cornet, thrie corporalls, quarter master, trumpeters and all necessar officers who salbe payed as the rest of the armie and for whose cariage the said generall commissar salbe answerable, that they sall pay for ther dyet and committ no violence nor disorder. And it is heirby provided that quher anie shyre, burgh or persone sall mak dew and tymeous payment of ther mantenance, these sall not be quartered upon be the said trowpe, bot the same onlie to quarter upon the deficientis and delayers of payment, conforme to the formar act of parliament. The estates of parliament, considering that all the wayis for inbringing of money that ar yit knawne will not be sufficient for mantenance of the armie and incident charges therof, they therfore doe heirby stopte all preceptis upon the generall commissar for payment of anie moneyis otherwise, and declares and ordanis that no money heireftir be given out for payment of anie bygane debtis or loisses, bot that the mantenance and excise be onlie imployed for mantenance of the armie and other charges necessarie belonging therto. The estates of parliament ordanis the commissionars of shyres and burghes wha hes uplifted ther proportionall pairtis of the 5,000 lib. sterling appointed to be given to lame souldiors and to the weidowis and orphans of the dead souldiers to redelyver the same to Sir Johne Weymis of Bogie, generall commissar, or his deputtis upon his band for repayment to the saids commissionars and ilk ane of them of the foresaid proportionall pairtis of the said sowme, and that betuixt and the fyiftene day of Appryle nixtocum. Ordanis the generall commissar to advaunce some money to the commissars of the artilliarie for incident charges not exceiding 2,000 lib. 3. The estates ordanis the cuntrie to furneis horse and graithe to carie ammunition from Dundie to the randevous and from that as the armie sall marche untill constant horse and men be provyded for carieing therof, and this cariage to be from shyre to shyre and no shyre to be compelled to carie the ammunition without the boundis of ther awne shyre. 4.
