The estates of parliament ordanis these companies of foote quhilks ar to be keipt up of Colonell Stuart, the vicount of Kenmwre, Lieutenant Generall Baillie, erle of Cassillis, Lord Cowper, erle of Murray and [the] lord chancellor's regimentis and that regiment in Dundie for making up of the generall of artilliarie, his regiment of the new modelled forces, to marche the readiest and straightest way from there quarters to Dundie and mak there randevous their, quher they ar to ressave further orders for ther farder marche; and in the meantyme ordanis them, bothe officers and souldiors, to pay for ther quarteris and intertinment in there march and quarteris as is appointed be the ordors of parliament, and that all persones ressave them in lodgeing upon ther readie payment for all ther intertinement, and ordanis the generall of artilliarie to give ordors for observance heirof, quheranent thir presentis salbe a warrand.

The estates of parliament, taking to there consideration that they be there act of the tuelt day of November last, upon the petition of Sir David Crichtoune of Lugtoune and utheris therinmentioned, the creditors and cautioners of umquhile Sir Robert Spotiswode of Donypace, gaive them power to dispone all and sundrie the landis and barronie of Payntland and uthers mentioned in the said act to the best availl for ther payment and releife respective of the principall sowmes and anuelrentis therof mentioned in the said act, sua as the pryces therof will extend to, and declared the samen disposition to be made be them to be gude and valide richtis to the ressavears therof notwithstanding of the forfaltor of the umquhile Sir Robert Spotiswode, in the quhilk act the said Sir David Crichtoune of Lugtoune and remanent petitioners acted themselfis to mak the superplus of the pryce then to be gottine for the landis mair nor sould pay and releive themselfis furthcumand in maner and to the effect mentioned in the said act, as the samen of the date abonewrittin mair fullie proportis. And heirwith also considering that the saidis persones hes according to the power and commission given to them disponit heritablie and irredimablie the landis and barronie abonespecefeit, with the pertinentis, to Sir Johne Gibsone of Alderstoune, knyght, ane of the clerkis of session, for the sowme of ane hundreth fourtie foure thousand merkis payit be him to them for the samen, whiche is the greatest pryce was offered or could be had, therfore the saidis estates doe therfore heirby ratifie, approve and confirme the foresaid disposition made and granted to the said Sir Johne Gibsone off the saidis landis and barronie of Paintland and uthers therinspecefeit, with the pertinentis, for the said pryce of ane hundereth fourtie four thousand merks, as the said disposition of the date the [...] day of [...] jM vjC fourtie sex and fourtie sevin yeirs beiris, in the haill heidis, articles and clauses of the samen and conforme to the tenor therof in all pointis, and declares this present generall ratification therof to be alse valide in all respectis as if the disposition wer verbatim insert heirintill, quheranent the estates heirby dispenses; and ordanis the thesaurers principall and deput and remanent commissionars of exchecker to grant infeftmentis upon the foresaid disposition to the said Sir Johne Gibsone off the landis, barronie and uthers therincontenit be resignation or confirmation as he thinkis fitt, to be haldin of the kingis majestie siclyik and alse frielie in all respectis as the said umquhile Sir Robert Spotiswode or his authors held the samen and conforme to ther richtis and infeftmentis therof. And alse the estates declares that the said disposition, with the infeftmentis to follow therupon, ar and salbe gude, valide and sufficient richtis to the said Sir Johne Gibson and his airis to posses and bruik the saidis landis and uthers foresaids irredimablie and to uplift and intromet with the maillis and dewteis of the samen, conforme to the said disposition. And farder, inrespect that the foresaid sowme of ane hundereth fourtie foure thousand merks (quhilk is the pryce payed for the saill of the landis as the uttermost pryce that could be gottine therfore) will not pay and releive the said umquhile Sir Robert Spotiswode, his creditors and cautioners abonementioned of the principall sowme and anuelrents therof mentioned in the formar act, extending to the sowme of ane hundereth fourtie nyne thousand, thrie hundereth merks by diverse yeirs and termes anuelrent therof, thairfore the saidis estates doe heirby liberat, friethe and exoner the saidis creditors and cautioners abonespecefeit off there becomeing acted and obleist for making furthcumand of ony superplus of the pryce of the foresaids landis to the effect and conforme to ther obleisment in the said act, quherof the estates declares them frie as said is.
