The quhilk day compeired personallie in presens of the parliament Charles, erle of Dumfermling and Williame, erle of Dalhoussie and judiciallie submitted themselfis anent the question betuixt them concerneing anie grund, reason, right or intrest the erle of Dumfermling hes or can alledge aganis the passing be the exchecker and delyvering to the erle of Dalhoussie of his signator of the mylne of Kirkcaldie haldin be him of the kingis majestie to the decreit arbitrall and determinatioune of Archbald, marques of Argile and [...] Merser of Adie, judges chosine for the pairt of the erle of Dumfermling, and of William, erle of Lanerk and Sir William Cochrane of Cowdoun, judges chosine for the pairt of the erle of Dalhoussie, and incaice of variance to Johne, erle of Cassillis as overisman, his decreit and determinatioune. With power to the saidis judges, and incaice of variance to the overisman, to give furth there decreit arbitrall and determinatioune concerneing the question and contraversie foresaid standing betuixt the saids erles of Dumfermling and Dalhoussie, and to decyde thairintill betuixt and the fyiftene day of Apprile nixtocum inclusive. Lykeas baithe the pairteis, personallie present as said is, judiciallie acted and obleist themselfis to obtemper and fulfill the decreit arbitrall and determinatioune to be given anent the premisses be the saidis judges abonenamit, or incaice of thair variance be the overisman himselfe alone, within the tyme abonespecefeit hinc inde ather of the saidis pairteis to uthirs, conforme to the tenor of the samen decreit in all pointis without ganesayeing thairto or apellatioune thairfra in anie sorte. With power lykewyse to the judges, or incaice of variance to the overisman, to decerne thair decreit and determinatioune to be given in the said matter to be registrat in the buikis of counsall and session and to ordane letters and executioune to pas therupon hinc inde at the instance of ather of the saidis pairteis aganis uthirs for fulfilling thairof.
