The estates of parliament, to the effect that the Lord may give the bettir successe to the great bussines that ar now in hand, ordanes ane publict faste to be solemnelie keiped upon Sonday nixt, bothe in the parliament hous for the memberis of parliament and in the churches of the toune of St Androis, and ordanes thrie preachingis to be made in the parliament hous that day and the lyke in the churches of the toun, and ordanes the ministers to be advertised heirof.

The estates of parliament, haveing considdered the report made in the parliament anent the commander in chiefe of the forces within this kingdome, and the question being stated whither or not the erle of Callender sall be writtin for to exerce his place in the disposing of the forces presentlie within this kingdome or if ane uthir officiar salbe nominat and imployed to command the saides forces, it was resolved upon be the saids estates of parliament that the erle of Callender salbe writtin for to exerce his place in the disposing of the forces presentlie within this kingdome, and ordaned ane letter to be drawin up for that effect direct from the parliament and subscryved be the president thairof to the erle of callender. Quhilk was accordinglie done and red in audience of the parliament, allowed be the estates thairof and subscryvit be the president of parliament.
