Approbatioune in favours of Mr Johne Broune

The estates of parliament, haveing hard and considdered the report of the commission for the processes concerneing Mr Johne Broun, ane of the baillies of Jedburgh, his cariage and complyance with James Graham and his adherentis, findis no just ground of censure or punishment aganis the said Mr Johne, bot in the contrare that he hes evir bene readie to do anie good offices that lay in his power for the estates service and that he was personallie present with Lieutenent Generall David Leslie, his forces, baith before and at the battell of Philliphauche, and eftir the battell was with them at the buriall of Capitan Dundas wha was killed at that service, and thairfore they ressave and admitt the said Mr Johne Broun to sit and voyce in parliament as ane of the memberis thairof as commissionar from the burgh of Jedburgh according to the tenor of the commission granted to him.
