Ordinance in favours of the parochiners of Muckhart and Dollor

The estates of parliament, having hard and considdered the report of the committie for the billes anent the supplicatioune of the parochiners of Muckart and Dollor craveing present mantenance for manuring the ground and interteining the lyves of them, thair wyfes, children and families in respect thair whole houses wer burnt, thair cornis destroyed, thair bestiall and plenissing takine away, as the decreitis of thair loisses mentioned in thair supplicatioune beires. Quhilk report of the committie for the billis is that they think warrand may be given be the parliament to the lairdis of Sawchie, Duncrub, Cleish and James Crichtoune of Wester Adie, or ony tua of them, to appryse the wode of Hairshew belonging to the laird of Rossyith, presentlie incarcerat as ane delinquent, that the timber thairof may be cuttit for the use of the supplicantes and reparatioune of thair houses and buildingis, and that the decreitis anent the supplicantis loisses concerning the probatioune mentioned in the samen decreittis and reportis should be remitted to that committie for the loisses to be considdered be them what that probatioune sall work, being onlie the pairteis oathes for the quantities and pryces and probatioune be witnesses for the burning of the houses and plenissing and destroying of the cornis and taking away the whole guidis in generall; and that in respect of the present necessitie for the supplicantis, thair subsistance, that warrand be given be the parliament to give presentlie to them tuentie thousand merks Scotis to be distributed amongst these who ar most necessitat and ar utterlie distroyed according as the marques of Argile sall nominat and appoint persones for distribution of the samen tuentie thousand merks, as the foresaid report of the committie for the billis beiris. The saides estates of parliament approves the foresaid report and opinion of the committie for the billis and heirby gives power and warrand to the lairdis of Sawchie, Duncrub, Cleish and James Crichtoune of Wester Adie, or ony tua of them, to appryse the foresaid wode of Hairshaw, and ordanes them, or ony tuo of them, to doe the samen to the effect before rehearsit; and remittis the decreitis and reportis producit be the saidis supplicants anent thair loisses concerning the probatioune thairinspecefeit to the committie appointed for the loisses to be considdered be that committie. And in respect of the supplicants, thair present necessitie for thair subsistance, the estates ordanes the foresaid sowme of tuentie thousand merks Scotis to be presentlie given to the supplicantis to be distributed amongst these who ar most necessitat and ar utterlie distroyed according as the marques of Argyle sall nominat and appoint persones for the distribution of the samen tuentie thousand merkis, quhairanent thir presentis salbe ane sufficient warrand.
