Anent the supplicatione givine in to the estates of parliament, now conveened in the fourt sessione of this first trienniall parliament be vertue of the last act of the last parliament haldine be his majestie and thrie estates in anno 1641, be Williame, erle of Dallhoussie, makeand mantione that quhair he hes for a due satisfactione purchest the west mylne of Kirkecaldie, in the quhilke George Boiswell, his author, wes infeft be a chartour granted be his majestie, onlie superiour thairof, and the said Williame, erle of Dallhoussie haveing presented his signatour thairof to the lordes of exchequer that he might be infeft thairin, as his authour wes, the samene signatour wes componed, and albeit the samene be componed and that he is willing to pay the compositione and hes oftymes requyred the signatour to be givine wp, yitt he is delayed thairin and much prejudged thairby, it being bot an ordinarie thing that he requyres, quhair it is most constant that his majestie is superior thairof, which he hes verified be productione of his authoures infeftment; and thairfore desyreing that the estates of parliament may give warrand to give wp to the petitioner his signator that he may pas the same throw the sealls, as the said supplicatione at mair lenth beires. Quhilke supplicatione being red in audience of the estates of parliament and the desyre thairof heard and considdered be them, the saides estates of parliament hes remitted and heirby remittes the foirsaid supplicatione and desyre thairof abovewrittin to the lordes of exchequer, to doe thairin as they will be ansuerable and according to justice.
