Forsamekle as the estates of parliament, now conveened in the second sessione of this first trienniall parliament be vertue of the last act of the last parliament haldine be his majestie and thrie estates in anno 1641, haveing heard and considdered the act granted be the lordes of secreet counsell in favoures of Archbald, marques of Argile wpoun the tuentie fyfte day of Januar 1642 yeeres, be the quhilke the lordes of secreet counsell did allow of the said marques of Argile, his causing apprehend Coill McGillespike McDonnald and tua of his sones and Johne McDonald and Donald Gorme McDonald and approved the same as good service done to the publict, and ordeaned the marques to keepe the saides persones still in sure firmance as publict prisoneres wpoun his majesties expenss, and modified the soume of fourtie merkes everie weeke to be payed to the marques for interteanement of the saids fyve persones and their fyve keeperes, as the said act of the dait foirsaid at mair lenth beires. Eftir that the foirsaid act wes publictlie red in audience of the parliament, the saides estates of parliament ratifies, approves and confirmes the foirsaid act abovementionat for apprehending of the saides persones abovenamed and keeping and deteaneing them in sure firmance, conforme to the foirsaid act in all pointes.
