Forsameikle as the estates of parliament, now conveend in the second sessioune of this first trienniall parliament be vertue of the last act of the last parliament haldine be his majestie and thrie estates in anno 1641, takeing to their consideration that the commissioneres for shyres and the commissioneres for burrowes that are this day present hes wndertane the advancement and payment of their proportionable pairtes of the first monethes mentenance for the army for their shyres and brughes to be givine into the generall commissar betuixt and the first day of March next, theirfore the estates of parliament heirby assignes to the commissioners of shyres and burrowes and to suche noblemen, gentlemen and burgess as bindes with the commissioners respective foirsaides for the present advancement and getting of the said money, the said first monethes proportione of the mentenance appointed to be payed by the act for mentenance for the moneth of March nixtocome, to be wplifted and collected fra thair shyres and brughes proportionallie for their releiffe of that which is advanced now by them as said is. And the estates ordeanes sicklyke lettires and executione to be directed at the instances of the saides commissioneres of shyres and brughes for payment of the foirsaid mentenance for the moneth of March nixt as might have bene directed at the instance of the estates and their collectoures if the samene hade not beine advanced as said is. And declaires that the saides commissioneres and these who bindes with them shall have annuelrent for the money advanced by them off their shyres and brughes fra the tyme of their advancement whill the repayment.
