The estates of parliament, presentlie conveened by vertew of the last act of the last parliament haldine be his matie and thrie estates in anno 1641, considdering how necessary it is for the bettir regulating of the forces imployed aganes the rebelles in Ireland and carieing one of the warre there that committies be appoynted by advice of bothe kingdomes to reside in Ireland, doe therfore nominat and appoynt the erle of Levine, lord generall, the marques of Argile, the erles of Glencairne and Annandaill, the erle of Lothiane, lieutennent generall, the generall of the artilliarie and Generall Major Monro, Sir Frederike Hammiltoune, the lairdes of Laweres, Grenocke, Lochnew, Beshopton, Garthland and Auchinbreke, [...], Collonell Home, [...] for Glasgow, [...] for Air, [...] for Irving, or ony fyve of them, commissioneres from this kingdome, with power to them to repaire to Ireland and joyne with them that shall be appoynted by the houss of parliament of Ingland for carieing one of the ware in Ireland and regulating of the forces imployed therin according to the instructiones to be gevine them from both kingdomes ore the parliament of this kingdome or ther committie, and in the meane tyme, till the saides commissioneres be appoynted by the parliament of England, with power to them to meit and give there best advyce, assistance and orderes for the good weellfaire and subsistance of the Scottes army and forces joyned with them. And the estates declaires that the commissioners abovenamed in this committie shall be of the great committie of estates that resides at Edinburgh and shall have place and voyce in that committie whene they are present there.
