The convention of estaitis being this day mett and taking to thair consideratione the prejudice lyk to ensue to this kingdome throw the slownes of sum schyres in putting out and bringing togither the forces, horse and foott, layed upon them to the generall randevous in respect of the chairges this kingdome will be putt to in mantening these regiments and troupes of horse who are alredie gone out according to the ordour of the committee of estaitis; and finding it absolutlie necessar for the furtherance of the cause in hand, in pursuance of these ends conteand in the covenant, that sum strict course be tane for bringing out of the regiments and troups of horse, they have thairfor gevine and granted and by these presents gives and grants full power and commission to [...]† presentlie to go about the bringing out of the foott and horse laid upon that schyre, and for this end, in name of the conventione of estaitis, to requyre the committees for the valuation and committees of warre to devyde and assigne to evrie heretor the number of horse that will fall upon them, and to bring out the full number of foote and horses weell monted and armed to the publict randevous; and incace any of the said committees sall be negligent in performance of thair severall dewties in devyding and laying on of the horses upon the heretors, or bringing out the horse and foote laid upon them, or incace any of the heretors sall refuse to geve obedience to the said committees, they doing thair dewties in maner forsaid, with full power and warrant to the commissioners forsaid to quarter any sogers, horse or foote, upon the persons so faileing to be interteaned by them ay and quhill they and evrie [one] of them sall do ther dewties respective in maner forsaid. And generallie with power and command to the saidis commissioners to putt to reall executione all the orders of the committee of estaitis anent the bringing out of the men, horse and foote laid upon that schyir within 48 hours nixt eftir the recept heirof, and to exsect the penalties conteaned in the saidis instructions. Commanding also the commissioners abonewrittin to go about the spedie and reall performance of this commission as they desyre not to be estemed ennemies to religion, his maties honor and peax of the kingdome.
