Your matie being hithertills be severall letters of the 29 of Junii, 8 and 29 of Julii fullie acquainted with the proceidings of this meiting of your estats, and thair being now some persounes come unto them from both housses of your parliament of Ingland, they resolve according to thair duetie to give your matie notice thairoff, as will more fullie appeare to your matie be thir inclosed coppies of the paperes geven in be them, whilk, be thair warrand and command, I doe humblie present to your matie. And as they doe intend from tyme to tyme to rander your matie ane trew accompt of thair proceidings, so shall I never be wanting to contribute my best indevours for the goode of your maties service, and to acquyte myselff with that fidelitie which becometh your maties most humble and faithfull subject and servant. The quhilk day certane of the commissioneres appoyntit by ordour of his matie and the estaits of the lait parliament for repressing of the disorderes in the heillands for the fyve shireffdomes on the south parts of the kingdome, haveing representit unto the conventioun of the estaits that ther was a justice court appoynted to be keipit upon the fyfteint of this instant at Stirling, and that diverse of the saids commissioners wer memberes of the conventioun and generall assemblie, and in that regaird could not attend the said justice court, and therfoir desyreit the samen to be continewed to some competent day. The saids estaits, haveing tane this desyre to thair consideratioun and finding the samyn reasonable, they have thairfoir continowed and be thir presents continowis the said justice court to the 19 of September nixt, and ordaines letters to be direct to mak publicatioun heiroff be oppen proclamitione at all places neidfull, wherthrow nane pretend ignorance of the samyn, and to wairne all pairties haveing entres to attend upon the said 19 of September with intimatioune as effeires.

The estaits gives heirby commissioun to Johne, earle of Lindsay, Johne, lord Balmerinoch, Sir Thomas Hoape of Kerse, Sir Archibald Johnestoun of Warestoun, Sir John Smith and Mr Robert Barclay, or any four of them, ther being on[e] of every estaite, to meit with the earle of Ruthland, Sir Williame Armyne, Sir Harie Vaine, Thomas Hatcher and Henry Darnely, commissioneres sent from both houses of the parliament of Ingland, or any thrie of them, and to resave from them all such paperes and demandis as thei shall present unto them for setling all materis of debt and accompts in which the kingdome of Ingland stands ingadged to this kingdome, or any other thing which doeth concerne the good of both kingdomes; and to treate and consult with them thairanent, and to report the samen to the estaits befoir thay conclude any thing thairin.
