Supplicatione generall of the artillerie for his approbatione and exoneratione

To the kingis most sacred majestie and honorable estaits of parliament, the humble petition of General Alexander Hamilton, generall of the artillerie, h[umblie] shewing,

That I, having bein imployed in thir troublesome tymes bypast be the estaits of this kingdome as generall of the artillerie, and now seing all matters ar brought to ane happie closure, thirfor I humblie intreat your majestie and honorable estaits of parliament that I may have your majesties and estaits of parliament approbatione if it sall be fund be your majestie and honrable estaits that I [...] and discharged with honest and faithful dewtie for the publict of the charge imposed upon me be the estaits. And if it sall be fund be your majestie and estaits of this present parliament that I have comitted any fault or omissione in discharging of my said charge to the prejudice of the publict, I humblie submitt my selff to the censure of your majestie and parliament. And your majesties and honorable estaits answer I humblie crave.
