[Supplication of the Earl of Crawford seeking to be heard in parliament]

Petitioune Erle of Crawfurd

To his sacred majestie,

The humble petitioun of Lodovick, Earle Crawfurd, humblie showeth that quhair he hes bene detenit in close prisone contrair to his majesties command, nathair doth he know the caus quhairfoir, therfoir he humblie desyreth he may have ane heiring this day, or uthair wayes if the tyme be not convenient, that he may be liberat upoun surite of on or tuo nobillmen to appeir quhen he sall be demandit. This humblie desyreth your majestie and the honorable house of parliament to grant.

Petitioune Colonell Johne Cochrane

Unto your sacred majestie and the honorable estats of parliament, the humble petition of Collonell John Cocheran.

Wheras I represented yesterday to your majestie and the honorable estats of parliament my humble desyre that I might have a hearing, I doe nou in a most submissive way reitteratt the same to day, hoping your majestie with the estats of parliament wilbe graciouslie pleased to condiscend to my humble petition in granting me a favorable ansuere.
